Switch to AH from Borebirds :)
What are the benefits in terms of gameplay, strat and immersion ?
IMHO WB is currently on the road to nowhere and I'm sure many current AH members are Ex-WBers themselves. So c'mon guys, what do I gain ?

15 days free trial....
Nothing else to add.

Clouds, new improved strat system, plus the chance to get yourself killed by a few planes you've never seen before. C.205, la5n & la7.
Come on in, the waters fine. Just park your ego at the door for a tour or 2 & you'll do fine.

All the above and more. AH has become the melting pot of the online flight sim/gamne world and there are a LOT of good sticks flying here.
Most of all it's brought to you by the great folks at HTC. Seven (always got to include Skuzzy<G> ) very real, hard working, innovative and caring people. Not a corporation.
You get a free two week test drive. No obligation. So jump in. Waters fine!!!!

The guns work and the damage model is fair. The corsair is not the worlds worst aircraft like in WB. better, by far, view system. No boring allied vs axis crap unless you want to go to the ever popular CT arena.

Of course, you'll meet some people with an attitude problem, in the air and on this forum...fortunately they are a minority.

You ain't lived until you do a Nap of Earth mission thru the mountains. Next time you see a mission up in Knitland that says "NOE"..join it, you'll probably die, but you'll die happy.

You get to hear lazs' views on bombers, perk planes, perk points, or Axis vs Allied once every three threads. :p
Not that it's a bad thing. Lazs just says what he believes in, which is fine IMO.

Rigpig, try it for 2 weeks and make the call.
Westy <S> lumped me in with HTC, but I am only the ISP for this group of lunk-heads :D.
So if you have connect issues, you got a path to my door in the Internet Forum (I won't tell ya where I live though :))
Never flew WB, so I cannot make a comparison, and from what I can tell, it really is about deciding for yourself. Just give it a shot and if ya like it, great, if ya don't, then you have not lost anything by trying.

hi Rig,
I switched, havent looked back.
heres a few things I think you gain:
* Better, more consistant gunnery,
* Firmer, more pleasing flight modeling that is closer to what I think it would be like,
* Alot better connect, meaning less warps and lag
* Good opportunities to try differant things like driving a PT boat, a better ground war,etc (all came along way ahead of WB stuff)
* No Ninja (anti-American jerk)
* No MG (anti-PC and anti-AH jerk)
* A very responsive company (HTC) when you need help
* Good strat, frequent updates keeping the game fresh
Give it a honest try, I think you will like it.

Ah but nifty.... That, and so much more! I have opinions on every single aspect of the game and would be more than glad to share them with you at great length and with little or no prompting... In fact, I would even be willing to share my opinions of yur personal life with yu (for your own good of course).
