Title: Mode 2 Vehicles Shifing

I have Shift W for accelerate a w for go, but neither will let me get out of first gear. This happened once before years ago, but I do not remember how to fix it. I have cleared W and shift W and put them back into "Vehicles" numerous times with no change. Also tried upper and lower case W's.
Ideas?

Do you have a joystick or twisty joystick axis mapped for vehicle steering in Mode 2?  If so make sure it is calibrated and centered, or perhaps increase the deadband setting.  The tanks won't shift gears if there is any turning going on.

When you start moving, just kick your rudders quick left/right, that should take care of it.

I have a decent sized deadband, so I am guessing if it doesn't receive input it doesn't quite work right until it does.

That recalibration did the trick for me. Much appreciated, guys.
