This began as a trivia discussion on the SkyKnights squadron Facebook page, but it was suggested that I re-post the questions here. It is possible that some answers may only be available from the Hitech staff. . . . SKOzone
1. When did Aces High go "live?" (Actual date and time)
2. What is the oldest continuously active squadron?
3. Which currently active squadron has the most members?
4. What is the maximum altitude flown by any aircraft in Aces High?
5. What is the duration of the longest single flight flown by any aircraft in Aces High?
6. What is the highest number of kills earned by a fighter pilot in a single sortie?
7. What is the highest number of damage points awarded to a bomber pilot in a single sortie?
8. Who is the oldest active Aces High subscriber?
9. Who holds the honor of having the highest number of ship kills inflicted by torpedo?
10. Has anyone ever brought down an aircraft with a sidearm?
11. What is the record for the shortest "war" (from map reset to conclusion)?
12. Has fleet bombardment ever closed a base (destroyed all hangers) without fighter or bomber support?

4. I know a few people have taken a 163 to over 100K but it was done in custom arenas with the assistance of wind.
10. Believe it or not I killed Glzz's B29 with my 45 :D
-
13) Who successfully Drifted a B29 for a near 60 feet!!!!????

I think you can only consider it successful if you don't end up breaking half the plane in the process :P

Grizz may have the most kills in a single sortie. 99 in a 262. The other guy in the P40 doesn't count because it was staged.
-
2. The oldest continually active squadron pre-dates aces high and maybe even Warbirds.
4. Probably around 100,000 feet and 960mph or more peak speed on the way down.
I would consider any record performed in the late war main arena to be totally legit.
7. Has to be over 100,000
9. 50+ CV in a tour has been done from a PT boat and many were two ship combos and some were actually successful landings.
Not sure at all about doing it from a plane but I feel survival to land the sortie should be required when mentioning sinking CV.......which I have never accomplished with torps. from a plane.
It sounds like something to work on and I'm sure someone here can do it at will.
10. Quite a few have but the holy grail would have to be air to air.
12. I've witnessed it a few times but never done more than a few buildings myself.

8. either earl or that guy that was actually a german 88 gunner in ww2. vilkas?

5. No rearm? B-29. Otherwise, I couldn't say. I've flown a Mossy 16 for 6-8 hours before my net took a dump. But I was obviously rearming after each run. :)
6. Only person I am aware of is Grizz in a 262 run. He (or someone in his squad) has screenies and/or film of doing a 100+ kill run. If you mean landed, then I couldn't say.
7. I've seen 120k+ being landed for a single sortie.
10. Yes. There were two of us inside the spawn hanger at a capped field when a P-51 upped in the hanger. Both of us started to shoot into the cockpit. I hit EVERYTHING but the pilot. :bhead The other guy got the kill. :( If you mean a airborne AC, then I do not know.
12. Yes. I've participated more than a few times in this, and have taken the base in a few of those.

5. Can only speak for myself - My longest single flight in the LW without refueling was in a He 111 and took me 3 hours 34 minutes. So the AH record is probably longer than that
11. The shortest war in the LW arena I ever witnessed was less than 3 hours. There have probably been shorter 'wars' in the EW arena, having no opposition can really speed things up ;)

One time I landed and taxied to the re-arm pad. As soon as I came to a stop, BANG! I was dead. Some pilot from the other team had bailed out and was waiting.

I can only answer #6, that I know of is 100 by Grizz. (I read somewhere he actually got 100). I've also seen some comments on YouTube before saying fester getting something like 130 in the 262. Definitely not sure about that though.
-
Thought fester was rearming and couldn't make 300 in the 262, always died between 225 and 250. It was either a sustained effort of kills and no deaths over days, or over many many hours and rearms.
I believe Vilkas was 13 and forcibly inducted into the german military as part of AAA crews which was a common practice by the germans. A few years back someone posted his bio in here to clear up misconceptions.

I think I had a little too much to drink during an fso a couple of years ago. I fell asleep while sitting in the runway. I think I was the only one that successfully landed a plane in my squad. think it was about 1 1/2 hours nap. woke up refreshed and went on to kill at least 1 in the ma :).

I don't know how old Earl is but Vilkas is 85 , and he still lays the smack down from any manned gun he can. (http://www.beltfedshooters.com/forum/images/smilies/AA%20machine%20gun%20gif.gif)

From what I've read here, if the 88's were modeled accordingly, I'd expect Vilkas to be the deadliest 88 gunner. :)

PoolFools dad was a B26 gunner or B24 I forget which, but he used to fly awhile ago not sure if he is still around.
-
I've had a goon over 100k feet. Must have been a bug, was afk climbing.

What happened to 'Stamper'? He was a Lanc tail gunner.
