I stopped looking at it on about the 10th year it seemed like SHawk was number one about every 12 months of each of those 10 years. I thought he broke it.
-
Does your score really look so bad that you want it to be reset? :rofl
-
Whats score??? They score in this game???

Got the new tour started this morning.

hehehe not until you have 2000 kills
-
i don't pay much attention to the score but the statistics are helpful in deciding on what part of your game sucks.

I could see where someone who only cares about score, after spending 130 hours of flight time in a month only to be ranked 1,120th overall, might be disappointed in that and want it reset.

Who cares about ground score or bombing? This is Aces High, not Buffs Low or GV's Below. The only score that matters is fighter score. ;)

well if i worried about my score i would be crying a river. some play this game for score some play for fun . as much as i wish to improve i will not let score take away the fun of playing a game.

Score doesn't interest me, but these do:
Kills in/Kills of/Killed by/Died in
-
I'm curious who caused the most damage to enemy last tour whether aircraft or GV/boat.

The longer you are here the more you will realize that score..any score any category doesn't matter much because much of it is dependent and can be effected by how you play the game.
To use as an example Ill take Shane. The old infamous one. Not the current one. (No slight on the current intended)
He had to be one of if not the best La drivers I've ever seen. (made even more amazing to me as Im told he was deaf) But while I didnt regularly check it. I dont think I ever saw his rank break 100 because of the way he flew constantly intentionally putting himself in disadvantageous situations. 1 V 1 he was a nightmare. 6 V 1 he was still pretty damn dangerous even if the 6 had all the advantages of alt, E, and plane type and he flew into situations like that regularly and intentionally. Course this also meant he died a lot too. Which as we all know effects rank.
1 V 1 or 1V10 didnt matter to Shane. He was in regardless.
Just like you though. The moment he got his first kill. The word spread pretty quickly he was in the area

I still think currently Latrobe is the best I've seen in a fighter in a long time, but even he is that guy who tries to see how many deaths in a tour he can achieve :noid
It would be quite interesting to see who the top fighters would be if everyone tried for fighter rank. I don't necessarily try for rank but I do like to fly well and possibly be the top pilot. Last tour, I had 2 of the worst days in a long time and lost my #6 rank and ended up #20 after those 2 days (last 2 days of the tour). However, if I only stuck to flying the top Late War planes in the game, and only played to stay alive, being #1 wouldn't be as hard to achieve. I do like to try to fly planes that are a little more difficult to be successful in, but it is tough to achieve when 4 P51s and a spit16 are able to catch you... It makes it challenging for me which is why I still stick around AH. If I flew the top fighters every tour, I'd probably lose interest because running from fights and flying a little more timid just isnt fun every single sortie.

He would get my vote.
Latrobe's attitude when he wins, loses, or faces insurmountable odds is something the rest of the Aces High community should look up to and emulate. Instead of this kind of jovial attitude the game has a growing crop of individuals who take themselves and this game FAR too seriously.

Playing to stay alive can be very detrimental if your aim is going for #1 fighter rank. For most players, kills per time would suffer way too much.
And thats a more critical score sub category, as it is easier to 'stay alive' than to kill a lot of stuff in short time.
The importance of K/D for rank is usually way overrated, going so far that it's almost synonymous for many players.
Which it ain't ;)

I agree completely. Games are for fun.
1. noun
enjoyment, amusement, or lighthearted pleasure.
2. adjective informal
amusing, entertaining, or enjoyable.
3. joke or tease.
"no need to get sore—I was only funning" :bhead

I don't think I'm that good.... yet :devil :o I think the real winner of each tour is the person who had the most fun. :aok
I did fly seriously at the start of one tour just to see what my stats would look like. I eventually had a 13% hit percentage, 4.4 K/D, 3.1 K/S, and 0.0045 K/T after 10 sorties. It got really really boring quickly so I went back to flying suicidally again :)
-
The only scores I care about are Kills per Hour and Kills Hit% :old:
:noid

As a general rule, I believe that would be me.
About time I made Number One.
