Hitech please fix the p39s 37mm gun
-
How is it broken? Might help.
-
It def. broken, I shoot and shoot and nothing dies, not even a hit or anything. :rofl
-
same as the 30mm u shoot planes but it does no damage
-
Depends of what u shot at, distance, angle... 30mm was designed to make huge dmg on planes at any distance, just need to hit as its HE shell, not AP, what was 37mm target ? Btw, 37mm canon shell is different of 30mm German one. Different stories.

2x37mm hit an la7 another hit a juug in the wing root cant eve count how many spit wings have stayed on
-
It works.
See Corsair. See Corsair HO. See Corsair overshoot. See Cheezy Poof. See Corsair die. :devil
-
I have witnessed with my own eyes a 37mm slamming into the wingroot of a P-47 and the Jug taking no damage. There is a bug either with the 37mm or the damage modeling of some (if not all) planes.
-
I took up a P39 yesterday and hit a spit with one, 37mm (I was only firing the 37) and he kept flying... Didn't care to much to bring it up but then I saw this and well I got less lazy... I think I'll fly the 39 some more and see if it happens often.

It was normally loaded with high-explosive shells, but could also be loaded with the M80 armor-piercing shell which could penetrate 1 inch (25 mm) of armor plate at 500 yd (460 m) :old:
HTC (or anyone) knows what shells we got ingame ? If thats the AP, then its shells could go through the plane, leaving a big hole, but dealing limited dmg(if not piercing engine or any critical part), compared to a 37mm HE, which would have blown the plane, whatever part it landed on...

HE rounds for the 37mm on the P-39.

I've seen that too in a yak9t. I just assumed the shell went through without detonating because it was close range and it's a rather high velocity round.
