Title: Interest in map making

Limited time during lunch - simple question...

Where to I go to start playing around with making a terrain and maps.  I want to get into this next...

I have some crazy good ideas...

Check the sticky above your thread for Mr Midis tutorial.  Great place to start

For anyone that wants to get into making terrains, my advice is wait for the new version to come out first.  It will save you a lot of headaches learning a totally different terrain system after learning the current one.  Glad to see your interest and will help you out as much as you need/want, including if you want to start out on the current system.  I check the boards multiple times a day, so any questions will be promptly answered. :salute

Thanks Ranger.  I'll take you up on that when the new version comes out.

I am particularly fond of a terrain you made for AvA.  Desert environment, lots of bridges, etc... 

That is what actually inspired me to want to learn.  I have a new Alienware system I just picked up and tons of memory and space.  I think I could have fun with it.

Ranger, what would you guess the number of hours to make an average size map acceptable to HTC?
