Title: Vhangers Further Away from Airfields
Post by: HaHa on June 25, 2000, 01:08:00 PM
When someone flies to an enemy field and has air superiority it is reaally difficult for the defenders to kill that someone. The vulch factor, air advantage all play a prominent part.

With tanks it is totally opposite. If you take 4 tanks to a field.. someone can easily rapid spawn and defend that field. For that reason I think that the Vhangers should be a couple miles away from the airfield (possibly a 5 min drive). This would allow for engagements outside of the airfield vicinity and also allow for some dramatic field battles.

So basically you just want to vulch?

Why not just bomb the vehicle hangar?

The whole idea of these vehicle depos is "close" defense.  They should not be moved.

No it comes down to this.. I don't want to drive 15-20mins to be killed by the same guy rapid spawning. If you read my post at all you would understand that. When you fly 15 mins you at least have alt. advantage so mr. spawner won't kill you.

Remember this is ground warfare, I assume the option to "bomb" the vehicle hanger isn't possible. It takes like 20+ HE shells to destroy it so that's not going to happen either. All it takes is 1 or 2 rapid spawning tanks to defend an incoming force of 5-10 tanks. That is very unrealistic and very frustrating.
