Ive been looking for a new stick. This one is in my budget but I dont know much about them. How well made are they and will this work well with aces high?
Does anyone use it?

Get a stick with hall effect or optical sensors, you won't regret it. Been using my MS Sidewinder happy for over 15 years now. Still no spiking.

CH makes good sticks.

I use an X55. It's a year old. No problems (so far). I like it. Check out the return policy from whoever you buy it from.
I didn't know the Sidewinder uses something other than pan pots. They are out of production though, aren't they?
CH makes great sticks. I have a 6-year old set that still work great. I heard a rumor that some replacement parts are now unavailable.

When I contacted CH customer support I was told they no longer sell any replacement parts.

Thanks Bino, for taking that off the 'rumor list'. Wouldn't be great if somebody figured out a way to replace the CH pots with Hall effect sensors? The darned things would last 50 years.

use the x55 myself if you can afford the cash i recommend it . has more switches and buttons then you will ever use in this game plus has 3 different setting modes for fighter and bombers and gvs .

forget ch, they're sticks sucks now. perhaps back in the old days they were good. I owned 3 or 4 and they sucked. the x55 is now the best stick I have ever owned. have yet to calibrate it since I installed it back in may of last year.

I have both the X55 on one rig and the Warthog on my primary rig.. Love both they have their pro's and cons.. enjoy the X55 but remember it is light and you might have to figure a way to mount it... I used velcro and it worked great.
