The 47 Ronin" squadron is a group of individuals which
exists for the purpose of operating as a cohesive fighting unit within the
context of "Aces High 2", the online WW2 flight/combat simulator.
We fly as "Rooks" in the "Late War Arena".
The main purpose of the squadron's existence is to allow pilots with a common
vision of working together the opportunity to do so within an environment of
camaraderie, friendship and esprit de corps.
We are primarily a fighter squadron, though the things we do together will to
a large extent find us in "heavy" fighters, bombers, and very occasionally,
ground vehicles. We fly both Axis and Allied aircraft.
Squad Nights
One evening each week, we have a formal "Squad Night".
These days it is held each Thursday evening at 9PM Eastern time
in the "Late War Arena".
In many instances, pilots will have varying schedules or interests
which may preclude them from getting the chance to fly with their squadmates on
a regular basis during the week. On "Squad Night", we try to get as many
Ronin pilots as possible together to participate in a formal mission.
During the week, pilots are heartily encouraged to fly any and all types
of planes or vehicles they please. There are not now, and will not ever be,
any restrictions on what pilots fly or do during the week. It is
anticipated however, that anytime two "47 Ronin" pilots are in the air that they will
naturally wish to "wing" one another and work together in whatever goal they set for
that sortie.
The bottom line for this squadron is good people, with a good sense of humor,
who enjoy flying together, having fun, and enjoying ourselves.

uh oh bish and nits have a very lethal enemy. The Ronin are back!

Hi Boob,
On behalf of my fellow 47 Ronin pilots, I thank you for the best wishes.
I'm really looking forward to ramrodding my old herd again.
I ran it for 2 1/2 years last time before finally hitting "burnout stage" and
I was lucky enough to have a wonderful cadre of pilots to fly with.
I think in the main everybody enjoyed the fun and comraderie of it.
I'm very much looking forward to continuing The 47 Ronin "tradition"
and with the help of new and old blood in the squad, I'm also looking
forward to lots of laughs and working with other Rook squadrons.
It'll be a slow building process, but therein lies the great majority of
the satisfaction in building one up; watching it grow and coalesce into
a band of good natured, happy go lucky pile-its.

Thank you very much, man. I very much appreciate the kind words.
You'll not see any Ronin wheel down in surrender, but you'll most assuredly
see a plethora of parts from our planes whistling through the air.

It sucks! All that laughing, joking around, blowing up towns and fields, shooting guys down, having people covering your backside. It's just horrible! :D

I'm havin' a lot fun with it and I hope my pile-its are as well. Thanks for the thumbs-up!
I think the best part of it is watching the esprit de corps begin to bloom as the days
and weeks go by.
We'll do a bit of everything over the course of the next year with our "Squad Nights".
And we'll pretty much utilize close to every plane in the plane set doing it.
