I just made a sortie reaching 72,000 feet. Is that a game record ??????? It was in the MA and on my way down took out a flight of b17s so landed 3 kills on top of it!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! i was in a 163
-
it was 72, 100 feet i think
-
Nice... even if the 163 is more a rocket than a plane... :P

45.5k ta152

I've passed 96K in a 163. I think someone else passed 100K (I think 103K is the record). When I did it my entire plane disappeared which is what ended my run but it reappeared on the way down and I landed successfully.
-
I've been to 117k but is been a while,, offline,, and I just deleted the pic a few days ago while cleaning up my photobucket account,, darn!
-
Back an AH1 you could go WAY over 100K in the main arena, but you had to take a C47 with 25% fuel and it might of been on the uterus map from one of the top right hand bases
Dont think I have any pictures anymore but I have some films from AH1 that isnt compatible with AH2. Trying to find an AH1 viewer right now

I do know some people have been very high in this game..
-
I think the film is long gone but I did find one where I climbed up over 15K on the mountain on mindano in an m16 and ran downhill over 200mph in neutral
Here is one I found on photobucket at 70K feet which is apparently all I have left :(

Nice shot and it shows a populated arena meaning you weren't taking off at a 30k field.
I've used the 30k field in the practice arena but I feel main arena records are coolest.

Tuba, grin said he read 72,215' on your sortie. lol

105K in a B17

How does a B-17 get above 35k?
I've taken a 163 to about 104k. I don't know how to do screen shots, and even if I did I don't know how to share them.
One note, I suppose I cheated because I did it offline. It took me more than two dozen tries, each time getting higher and higher. I don't have enough perks to do that in the MA. I'm guessing the flight modeling is identical between offline and MA.

So the germans not only had jets, they invented rockets capable of reaching these heights? Did Hilter secretly conduct a space program as well? :lol

Yes, it was called the V2.

They made a documentary about it. It was called Iron Sky. Watch it, and be educated.

Thats about the altitude I got too. He was on board my plane
-
I just whent to the TA and got to 95,000 but it wouldn't let me pass through it, I got a major wind sheer
-
How does a B-17 get above 35k?
By playing offline and setting huge wind + minimum fuel burn.

I bested you, 47,600 feet in same. :rock
-
I'm sure 100k can be done in the main arena and you probably wouldn't have to hotpad to a high altitude airfield to do it or even fire off your bullets.
This was a really sloppy attempt which went better than it should have.

I once got a set of b29s 6 feet off the runaway before hitting a tree...beat that!
-
I saw Crabby take a Storch to 138k once... But that was in a different arena with air show smoke on :noid
