Title: Thrustmaster Warthog
Post by: Butcher on July 09, 2015, 06:30:40 PM
So since Alpha seems to be getting near; I decided to take my thrustmasters out for cleaning; I noticed the second stage of the trigger seems to be "depressed" half way;  I can pull the first trigger fine; but I have to really pull down to depress the second trigger; is there any way to clean them or fix them?

I noticed I needed Allen wrenches to take the Flight stick apart; just wondering if its worth trying to repair. First stage does depress all the way down fine; it feels firm; however the second stage seems to allow me to depress only 1 cm at most; where it used to be I could depress it 3-4 cm's.

Hello Butcher, I understand you want to fix it, but as an alternative (I had to do it on my old TM Cougar) I set trigger to "shoot with all". the red top button, shoot with main guns,  on my throttle I had one button to shoot with mg's

If you can get an old cougar stick, you can probably replace your trigger with one of those, they have the same function, I know for sure other parts (like the 6-way hat) are the same as Cougar.

If the trigger is stuck, try some electric cleaner spray, one without grease. After cleaning the electronics, look if you can see any part of the trigger grating to the housing of the shaft and add some lubricant. Just a tiny amount in the exact spot.

When I took mine apart, I had found a video or website that had good pictures.  It was not hard to do.  Just take your time.  Open the shell carefully watching for things to fall out of place.

Do a google on repair and or disassemble.

My trigger's full pull button is hard enough that I found myself having too tight of grip to follow the target.  I use the trigger to fire all but can switch the trigger to fire primary then full pull fires all.  I use the TARGET software but you can switch "Modes" like to mode 3 and do the same thing in AH.
