Skuzzy's recent upgrade to the skins submission page allows me to rework some of my earliest skins, starting with this P-47D-11 skin I first submitted in 2006. I've sharpened up the markings, improved the shading and weathering and added bump and spec maps to it.
This aircraft named "The Bug" was flown by Lt. Arlie J Blood of the 510th FS/405th FG, which was based at Christchurch in 1943/44. In September 1944 this aircraft was shot down by flak while straffing a train. Blood bailed out, evaded capture, was rescued by the French resistance and later returned to his unit.

Most excellent.
I need to do similar work to my early skins - a few will receive complete do-overs.

Very nice work as always Greebo. I need to redo my old 109s too, they look decidedly crappy on my newer system. Probably did back then too, but with my crappy graphics they didn't look too bad at the time. Make my eyes bleed now.
