I used to play AH a lot back in the day and just recently got back into it. I know that my PC doesn't have the best hardware, but I feel as though AH is running very poorly for what I do have.
When I check MSI Afterburner it shows that ~25% of my GPU is being utilized. Also when I check task manager, it appears that AH is only using 1 of my 6 physical CPU cores. Is this typical for AH to only use 1 CPU core and hardly any GPU power?
I have the sliders set to maybe half way, and my FPS will on average be in the 40's. Sometimes in a furball it will get down into the 30's. I remember being able to play this game at 5760x1080 on a mid range graphics card 3 years ago. Has the game requirements increased that much lately?
My Specs:
AMD FX 6100 6 core CPU @ 3.9ghz
AMD R9 270X 2GB @ 1150mhz core 1400mhz memory
8GB Gskill DDR3 1866mhz memory
AM3 M5A97 Asus motherboard
600W PSU
240GB SSD

If the CPU does not have dedicated high resolution timers for each core, we can only use one core. AMD has been a grab bag in this area. Some have it, some don't.
At the resolution you are running, be sure to disable any anti-aliasing and also make sure the slider for the environment mapping is not at full.
The next update to Aces High has a new graphic engine and it will use 100% of your GPU. The current engine does not.

Set the slider for environment map to "none" in graphics settings/advanced.
