Has anyone ever really looked at the back of food items and read the serving size and the number of servings in the container to see if you are actually getting whats supposed to be in there?
Don't buy laffy taffy in caseys private label peg bags, you get hosed on being shorted candy

I remember when a 12 ounce can of soda used to say 2 servings. think beer used to mention the same thing.

And are SECs required to have additional nutritional advice information?

I'm not worried about the size but I want to know what I eat; they won't allow state GMO labelling?
I'm amazed how this bill was passed silently; I'm in Canada but here 95% of fresh produce and lots of other foods frozen, meat...are coming from US;

WASHINGTON – Food companies would not have to disclose whether their products include genetically modified ingredients under legislation passed by the House Thursday.
The House bill is backed by the food industry, which has fought mandatory labeling efforts in several states around the country. The legislation, which passed 275-150, would prevent states from requiring package labels to indicate the presence of genetically modified organisms, or GMOs
