Title: world of tanks
Post by: guncrasher on July 27, 2015, 10:05:36 AM
I was bored last night and I thought it was way too late to play ah due to lack of players at late hours.  so i went to play world of tanks.  funny thing, the average wait to get into a match was about 6 minutes.  kept getting timed out.  anybody got an idea why?

Did you confer with Bustr before making this post?

So why do you need to ask AH players about said games?

I can't help him. He firewalls his PC by sneeker netting everything over to his PC and typing it all in.

there are two servers in north America .. east and west ..can choose which by a drop down tab upper left in game.. the numbers of players on each are listed there so you can choose where the players are.

As for what it is .. fun. Historically accurate shapes but very much game design game play with max range being about 500 yards and the guns-damage-etc are very much 'off' from what they could do historically. It's a game that is fun and small unit tactics work using the roles the tanks were designed to fill. ie: don't go head to head in a medium against a heavy .. that trick never works.

If it's a "World of Tanks"

Then how are there houses and stuff?

Do they have tanks that make tanks? Maker tanks?

Do they have builder tanks? And doctor tanks? Or would those be mechanic tanks?

do they have graveyards or scrapyards?
