IIRC the Niki was never perked at anytime.

I recall the "Nik-should-be-perked" threads, similar to the La7 threads we've had more or less continuously. I don't recall the Nik ever being perked, though, even as a test. Its performance was nerfed when AH2 came out, so the UFO complaints died away.

It was only unperked because there was no perk system conceived yet ;)
The perk system was introduced in two stages: From tour 14 on the players were able to earn perks, with the perk system going into full effect in tour 16. From that moment, the F4UC was perked.

We've never had an N1K1 in AH.
The N1K2-J has never been perked. It was, in fact, the Japanese fighter in AH v1.00, long before the perk system was added.

Pretty sure it was back somewhere from 2006 - 2010. Maybe it was just set at 5.0 ENY. Seem to remember a fuss about unperking/raising ENY value.

I just checked it, it was never perked. Introduced in tour 66 at ENY 10, which had been the same ever since then :old:

When I joined in tour 70, the P-47N (introduced tour 66) was at ENY 10, 0 perks, and I would surely have noticed any perking after that ;)
Then, I never remember any mentioning on this board about a perked 47N (which had surely come up in any of the myriad of perk topics over the years).
But to make sure, I just browsed through the threads made at and shortly after it's introduction to get the definite confirmation that it wasn't perked for like the first few weeks.

I do recall the C hog days, you could combine all the current typical complaints of the last year or so, 12hr, HQ hardness, etc and etc, and they wouldn't hold a flame to the complaints over the mighty big blue 20mm machine back in those pre-perked days. It was like an overcast of blue aluminum whenever you took off - didn't mind so much, I flew it as much as anyone else did I think. But it sure was hated by a very vocal bunch who didn't fly it IRRC.
Of all the planes that have been perked/unperked, I think the SPit14 was a great decision, the Ta152 as well, unperking these was a good decision in terms of game play effect, at least IMO.

I remember the horror of the C-Hog days, IIRC it reached a status of 50% overall usage in the arena. If you were engaged by 2 aircraft 1 of them was guaranteed to be a CHog. Being a bomber pilot back in those days was horrible, especially since bombers had no drones then.

This is a quick and dirty chart I made some while ago:

It shows Kills minus Deaths (and not K/D), which is a good indicator for a plane's domincance in the arena.
