Post by: DREDIOCK on July 30, 2015, 07:28:50 PM
In cockpit view. And the only music is the sound of the engine

Whats interesting to me also. Is just how good the view actually is

...er...compared to what?

In AH, forward, side and up views in the 109 (and others) have never been a source of controversy.  But check out the rear views at 8:00, 8:27 and 11:02.  We have much better rear views in AH than what the German pilots had in real life.

Nice video, best watched in HD, thanks much!

Nice. You can see the slats working at 6:40.

Cool video.  I am going to have to start playing with the 109 again.

BuckShot, there's a setting in your forum control panel that turns embedded youtube into links.

Thanks for posting the link, and thanks for the tip!

I didn't know about that setting.

Watching it again.  Look at 11:50 on, as he starts lowering flaps.  Not quite the same effect as hitting your joystick button a couple of times.

What "effect" were you expecting?

Poor choice of words.  I meant to focus on the fact that dropping flaps in the real 109 took significantly more effort than it does in the AH 109.

But you knew that.

Everything in the real bird takes significantly more effort than it does in AH. The stick forces on my X-55 is like that of a spoon in a creme soufflé compared to the real thing, and my stress less chair is a helluva lot more comfortable too.

That's for sure! My butt is HURTING by the end of an hour-and-a-half flight!

And I'd have to be Linda Blair to get the same cockpit views in real life.
