How many have been able to acomplish this without a single deviation in your aircraft of choice?
-
What?
-
Sometimes I'll commit to flying a single ride for a month just to try and get the feel for it. It's hard to do it exclusively when you participate in missions, bombing raids, goon runs and gv'ing, though.
-
Never accomplished it but thought I would try this next tour, I would imagine it might be hard to stay with it.
-
I think I've spent one whole tour in my 109F when I was first learning it. That plane is amazing!
-
done it several times... and remember fighting your fighter with my goon , HL117
the records here might not show, because I am going years back beyond this particular game
cheers

-
I am cheating so i sometimes tries other planes but >90% of my fighter sorties is in the Marvelous Brewster.
-
Marvelous Brewster.
can those 2 words be used in the same sentence together? :O
-
Yep. I just did. :D
-
Done it in a TA before.
-
I usually cheat on it towards the last few days of the tour but I like tour rides
(*see epic goon tour thread that got cut short by epic Alpha)

2013 October, 190D, #1 fighter rank.
http://bbs.hitechcreations.com/newscores/killstat.php?selectTour=LWTour165&player=Debrody&kt=347
383 kills, 347 of that while flying a Dora.
-
233 kills in the Brewster in one tour is my record, usually im between 70-100. Dont have the time to fly more and during euro hours its harder to harvest any greater number of kills.
-
Flying mostly one plane? Yes, done that.
Flying one exclusively, literally? No.
-
I have a few times
-
Marvelous Brewster.
can those 2 words be used in the same sentence together? :O
With a little grammatical tweaking:
"You Rook Marvelous, Brewster."
-
Kudos to those who can stick to a single plane for 30 days. My attention span is far too short for such an endeavour.

Me.
-
Me too.. :D
-
Ehh, I've tried to do it, but always like to change it up.
Tour January 2015 180, I did it in the temp, with a few other kills in another plane, just to prove a point about fast planes and their effectiveness in survival.
I tried to do it in the P38 this tour just to spite akak for personal reasons :devil but I like upping off the CV for closer fights so I got a few F4U sorties.
The thing is, different planes are better for different situations, and the amount of time you have to play that day. Only sticking to one plane can be detrimental to your success in certain situations and fights. You don't up a P47 to defend against raiders out of that base, you'd want a 109, la7/5, Ki84, or N1K for that. Now if there is another base near by you can up for alt then that would be a good idea for a P47. If you only have 30 minutes to play that day. Upping from a far base would take time, and upping on the capped base would be suicide, so it may limit your gaming abilities to only fly 1 type of plane.

"I just got a marvelous kill on a brew" :aok

Why would you flying the P-38 for a tour "spite me"? You're under the wrong impression if you think I give a rat's bellybutton whether or not you fly a P-38 for a tour.

You didn't notice?, he has been moving your seat and wiping bugers on the sidewall :D
-
I would venture a guess that many of my squaddies have never seen the inside cockpit of anything other than a P38 :D
Sadly Im not that guy....cant seem to kick my KI61 habit.....
-
A few times.
-
:D
I have a few times
you always in the ki61 lol..I've flown f4u for several tours straight.
-
Any clown can fly one plane all tour when he only has one mission profile that he flies.
Try flying one plane and perform most types of missions such as high altitude intercepts, pounding a town, base defense, bombing strategic targets, defending strategic targets, sinking CVs.......etc.

I'm not in your squad, but that would be me.
I occasionally fly a carrier plane if I really have to take off from a CV.
I often fly a C-47 or M3 to run supplies when they are needed.
Other than that, the P-38 is my ride!! :x

Done similar:
1. Up first plane on list.
2. Fly it until I get a kill in it.
3. Up next plane in list.
4. Repeat.
-
I think I flew a Spit I for a month prior to the last BoB scenario. If not exclusively it was close.

That's what US planes are for, primarily the 38L and 51D :aok
-
113th Lucky Strikes has been flying the P38 for 15 years.
-
Easy, I do it all the time.
But then, I tend to spend most of my time on Scenario stuff so I might only fly one time in a month but, One Plane, One Tour! :bhead
-
Chose the yak3 for this tour, has been hard already was, grounded by eny one late night and was tempted by Navy planes when close to a field capture/furball, now as I type this I just recall resupplying HQ last night so I blew it already it the strictest sense of the matter.
-
I have done it a few times in the past.
-
P38 does sound like a good choice.

Even "Midway" tried a few times in the 38. He would always quit after a week of getting crushed like a grape.

Supply runs don't count. Think of it as a pizza run.

:rofl
Midway thought that he could become an "experten" in the P-38 and then "pwn" us dedicated Lightning drivers. He tried the same with the P-51D and that failed too.
-
Where is Midway, haven't seen him for a while.... :old:

I would resemble that observation. :old:
However, I did fly a goon once and another time I flew a Me 163. :D

I do :old: in a P38.
I may get shot down a lot doing it but I enjoy myself and seldom have a problem finding someone to shoot at me.
