TV Footy commentary guy tells me the moon over Sydney tonight, being the second full moon in a single calendar month, is officially a Blue Moon.

Reading comprehension failed for you.  There's nothing official about it and until a Sky and Telescope magazine mistake that redefined Blue Moon for the ignorant public, it was never the 2nd moon that fell in a month.
