Got an issue with your hq going down? Defend it . IF you defend it and then it goes down it gives far more rights to whine.
-
I'd be a bit more upset to have to quit having fun in a very nice fight just to stop an eleven year old kid named Peanut1 who likes to brag about his virtual escapades of HQ destruction.
Honestly at this moment I think maybe you should stop making these threads as this started to get old very quickly.

Lol. your about 11 years off. I poking fun at other peoples inability to over come a very small issue, that historically to some point, did and will again happen.

OP speaks the truth. :salute

Let me get this straight. Your solution to finding a fight is to go for the HQ and hope someone comes up to fight you?
Wouldn't it be easier to just try some air combat instead?
I'm hard pressed to spend what little time I have to play chasing you down at the HQ. I'm happy for you that you have so much time to play that HQ bombing raids are something you have time for. But not all of us have that kind of time.
And to be honest it's gents like you that make me ask what the point of playing is anymore.
But you go ahead and enjoy yourself :aok

Interesting. Can you tell me which historical moment this situation would be at all similar to?
Make sure you're serious this time, I don't think I could afford laughing half to death again.
Besides I don't think anyone would want to waste time upping to stop someone who wants to make the game a bit uneasy to play. It truly is annoying when I don't want to stop doing something I want to do just to stop you.
What guppy said.

All it takes is to up a few times and have the HQ buster bail (since there is no downside to doing that), to sour you to attempting to defend it. Additionally, if I wanted to fly circles at 30K waiting for bombers to come, I wouldn't be playing this game, MS Flight sim is what that's for.
At least you know that people like you are personally responsible for driving people from the game. Glad you have your priorities in order. :salute

On a map like Tagma or SFMA. a HQ raider can get NOE to HQ without triggering any kind of warning until he reaches HQ.
It's impossible to defend against that unless you circle over HQ all day, just in case.

Yet another "I stopped the fight worship me" tard. Go cap bases or something constructive you knuckle dragger.
-
Seriously would make it better if you harden the HQ a bit more so a single set of lancs can't drop it.
Then it would take a little more energy to solicit help to go attack a HQ. Much like getting peeps to get together to attack and attempt a base take.
It is simply too easy right now for 1 person to continue to drop a HQ. I believe this should be a team effort.
I like taking multiple sets of B29s to go after a city strat then hit HQ. Makes for a nerve racking flight when the enemy realizes there are 7 sets of B29s over strats and the 163s begin to appear. Plus there is usually a DARBAR heading that way. When you see a single DARBAR moving across a map, who really cares to go defend against it until the HQ is suddenly down. Then bail out...
I think the only way to lessen the amount of times it happens is to make it harder to drop. i.e. requires more ord than a single set of bombers.
-
Another solution would be to lower the perk cost of the 163. I know a NEWB with 30 perks might just up to defend in a 163 because they can...
Just a thought.

Yup, some people have class, others, not so much. I guess if girls would talk to them, they might be nicer in game <shrug>
-
Rook HQ was destroyed because Rookland is weak. Everything else is just rationalization, excuses and sniveling. Weaklings whine that HQ should be stronger so that they don't have to be. That's all this is. Whining and excuses, the signature of the practiced loser. Pathetic.
The road to victory is paved with the bones of the weak.
-
Let then keep hitting the HQ. It won't be the same when the update comes out.

Imo HQ is a small problem...
Was just online, all 3 teams were attacking undefended bases. Choises were between attacking that base were only tumbleweeds were defending or wait until hangers on attacked base poped and up to fight the horde...
I dont find anyone of them attractive and lately it has become increasingly harder to find a reason to stay in the game...
There are no furballs anymore, noone attack unless they have a 5 vs1 advantage, as soon as there are resistance the attack dies out and the horde move on to another undefended base.
90% of the game is about avoiding fighting. Everyone want to gang bang and vulch in order to get easy kills so they can get the "X landed Y kills in plane Z".
I will take a break from the game now untill the desire to fly comes back...

I can't understand why the three large maps (which are up the majority of the time) are still in rotation. This map size had been introduced when the average numbers of planes in flight had been much higher and ever increasing.
Now we face maps like tagma with 30-100 players during Euro times and barely over 200 during US prime during the week :bhead
-
Its pretty much the same on the smaller maps.
-
blah blah
Good work Peanut <<S>>
Make em squirm....
-
This game is pretty much just about to implode, as snailman said, there are 30-50 players online on Euro prime time and maybe 15 of them are doing anything. There are simply no point of being online since it just as fun to play in offline mode...

Zimme. Please sir. I am personally asking you to stay. Tuesdays are great nights to play with JG11 and POTW both having squad nights. Friday's always have the FSO's available and those are always a blast. You can switch sides every 6 hours now making it a bit easier to find some fights.
There are certainly a small number of players that take great pleasure doing things that make people quit or want to quit. These are not just griefers, they are Uber-Griefers. They have already chimed in here so that's why I am here, to give you the opposing opinion. There are more of me than there are of them, trust me. But guys like me are normally quieter or they are not even here on the boards. If you quit, they win. If you ignore them they lose. Don't even let them think they are winners because everyone knows they are truly losers sir.
:salute

If u tell my boss its better to stay up all night instead of going to work tomorrow maybe...
Problem is that i dont want to be up at 2 am to find a fight.
-
I'm sorry Zimme, I should have looked at where you are from sir.
Also, if I may, if Heisenberg was pulled over by the police it is his speed that he would know but his location that he would be uncertain of would it not? Or am I confused about that also?
If I was him and pulled over I would have asked "Can you prove it was me in that place you say you observed me speeding?
-
Lol. It a nerd joke, referring to the Heisenberg uncertainty principle. It says that u can meassure velocity or position of a particle but not both at the same time. If u increase accuracy of speed measurement the accuracy of the postion will decrease and vice versa. So If Heisenberg knew were he was he cannot know how fast he was going....
-
Hehehe. yep, I got that part of the joke. I was saying that since the cop had obviously measured my speed and had pulled me over for it, he couldn't prove it was me where he said I was when he measured my speed.
Basically, I am a nerd who speeds on motorcycles. I do not think this argument would go over well unless the cop knew about the principle and had a sense of humor.
In real life when I am pulled over for speeding, before I am asked anything I say, "Thank you for pulling me over, I was going way to fast back there and shouldn't have". For some reason this, along with being sincerely polite has gotten me many warnings but very few tickets.

I'm sorry but I have to say this is just dumb. You don't seem to understand that people actually log off because of this HQ thing. You can take the position that you seem to be taking which is that that is their problem not yours, however that seems like cutting off your nose to spite your face. Is it really that important that you get to knock out HQ if it means less people play? When numbers get below a threshold the game gets less attractive and more people log/leave, it is a negative feedback loop. It should be self evident from the steps that Hitech has taken that it is more than just an issue of people "whining."
I would have thought that as a multi-generational player you would care more about the game's longevity and about the other players who make it what it is, has been, could be. Instead you act like the fact that your actions are driving people away doesn't matter or isn't your responsibility.
I don't expect you to agree with me, I would just like it if you thought about it without reacting.
Thanks.

<S> Your point is right. The only time we take hqs out is when rooks are threatening us for the win. That's speaking for my squad only. I care deeply for this game but I am in the mindset that its doomed and people will leave regardless. Howerver. you Bring a good point. I will further think my situation next time I chose (OR chose not to) Hit HQ.

I might have missunderstood u the first time, u are correct in that Hesienberg should have known his speed rather than his position, if the cop meassured his speed there is no way that Heisenberg (or the cop) can know were he is with any greater accuracy.

Zimmer, Heisenberg was counting on the cop not understanding quantum physics. Otherwise he would have gotten a ticket.
The uncertainty principal can be expressed as: dx*dv>h/(4pi*m)
dx is the location and dv the velocity uncertainties, and m is the mass.
h - the Plack constant is very very small! 6.6e-34 Jouls Seconds.
m the mass for elementry particles is also very very small and the ratio h/m is not so extreme.
However, a car weights over a ton, so h/(4pi*m) is something like 10^-37.
Even if the cop could measure the speed to an unthinkable accuracy of 10^-37 meter/second he can still determine Heisenberg location to within a meter - and give him a ticket.
Just saying.
-
Stop ruin fun w logic :D
Of course it is not possible to apply quantum mechanic to a car. The uncertainty principle is for subatomic particles like an electron, not cars. so i the math isn't working on a car. (IE the inaccuracy is so small that its totally negligible.)
Its a joke, and a pretty pointless one. Take it for what it is.

Again, this is a few players against a few players. The HQ problem effects 1/3rd of the players (roughly), and I am glad HTC has taken measures that allow people to do those deep strike missions, and not kill the fun of so many.

Bolded part:
So given that mindset, what do you expect to gain by pushing along the exodus? Is there even a little corner of your mind that is fully formed enough to understand your "mindset" is causing this game which you appear to enjoy to dwindle in numbers possibly to the point of extinction?
I know what I am saying may sound "chicken little'ish", but the reality is, WOT and other games are enjoying good numbers. I too remember the good old days of 300-500 during US prime time. I want this back.
-
I have logged on twice today and HQ - country dar has been down. I don't play when dar is down.
There is no Fun involved when country dar is down, if a game isn't fun why play, to many other options.
Going to hang around ( when country dar is up ) till the new version to see if HTC addresses this.

it affects the other countries' players also. when they logged off because their dar is down, also log off.

Are you kidding? Look, there are people.. especially among children, who crave attention in any form they can get it. "Look at me, I am pissing everyone off, aren't I powerful and cool". The best response is no response when dealing with a DB.
