Title: Anti virus software

Can you recommend an anti virus software that works well and is easy to turn off at the beginning of game play?

I found another thread and downloaded ESET-NOD32 30 free.  Wish me luck.  No other anti virus was installed on this system.

ESET is about the most gamer friendly anti-virus available.  Much better than Norton or McAfee or most any other one out there.

I use ESET NOD32 on my PC's. It is very game friendly to games that go full screen. It has an option specifically for gaming to respond to full screen mode by shutting itself down then turning back on when you tab out to the desktop to surf the net or when you end the game.

No...but you get what you pay for. I'd advise staying away from Norton and McAfee as they make heavy hoof prints into your computer and are difficult to remove later. I have used both and have removed both, and have used ESET ever since with no difficulties.

However, your BEST anti-virus program IS FREE, and rests just above the keys on your keyboard... just before you strike a key...think about it.
