In the Battle of Britain, the British prevailed. Yes, I know the 110C is a formidable aircraft but it can certainly be beaten with team work. Also because the Allies are defending, they will have the advantage of flying over their own territory where not only will they be able to limp a crippled aircraft home, but they will be able to re-up and get back into the action quickly. The first wave of Axis attackers will be in a big group but then they have a longer flight home and you should then expect less of a massive wave from them as they re-up and come back.
It's a piece of history that you will get to relive. As an Allied fighter you will get to immerse yourself in what it felt like to defend your homeland as they did against what seems like almost impossible odds, but again, they did prevail.
Doug, I know that the AK's fly Allied most of the time. I as a member of JG11 fly Axis all of the time. During late war scenarios especially, the Axis is faced with heavy bombers and formidable escorts that can also seem to have the odds stacked against us. When we are in late war buffs our defensive firepower many times feels like you are a gnat spitting in the face of a hawk but yet there we are, playing our part, doing our best to use what we have and employ tactics that will give us a chance and we manage to have fun every time.
Gentlemen, please join this battle, the outcome is not pre-ordained and we can certainly have fun!

I love to join but this is during working hours for next time can we schedule it around after 19:00PM Cet

A big THANK YOU to everyone who came to the early running of today's event, it was great to see so many taking part! OK, I know most of you probably came to see Skuzzy rather than me, and I do understand..... really I do..... <Sniff> Logs are now up at the usual place (http://www.ahevents.org/event-logs.html), and results are as follows:
Allies - 33 kills = 33 points
Axis - 12 kills = 12 points + 52 objects destroyed = 5.2 points for a total of 17.2 points
An Allied Victory! Well done all! :salute
Don't forget to come to next month's TDI on 7th September at the same times - The Battle of Milne Bay (http://www.ahevents.org/events/this-day-in-wwii/605.html?task=view)! :)

Yeah, I didn't realise on my first bomber sortie that the delay was set wrong for the targets I was aiming for, so very few hits - otherwise it could have been very different! :t

I am between shifts so I will be there
