On the 15th September there is going to be a mass scramble of spitfires and hurricanes from Goodwood aerodrome and they will be forming up a big wing and flying around the south coast of england.   More details here

Epic.  I'll be working in Southampton on the 15th and the office block has a roof garden...

So we managed to witness several flypasts of different sections  I counted 30 planes mainly spitfires but they came over 5 minutes apart instead of a mass Duxford style balbo which would have been amazing..  Prince harry's plane didnt go up because of mechanical failure another report said he gave up his spot for a veteran.

It was a windy day so maybe they had concerns.  Here are some pics elsie was watching them from her pram.

the double prop in the middle pic is the newly restored Blenheim.  First time we have had a chance to see it.

Harry's ride didn't start from Biggin hill and as they didn't have a spare 2 seater he let Tom Neil DFC and the guy from his charity keep their seats.   Papers making out he was being magnanimous but who would turf out a 95 year old BofB vet and a guy who has been blown up by an IED.   :aok

I think I did see it after a quick google image search there was a single one that turned west and had very similar markings.  Your right of course we do need that variant in game to keep up with all the slick F4U's.  :aok
