Title: Engine Oiled
Post by: Smoke44 on August 23, 2015, 08:37:19 PM
While flying the F4U-4 several times, the engine took some hits and got the “Oiled” warning. But each time, the windscreen was never oil covered. Is that normal for the F4U-4, maybe because of how far back the canopy sits, or just overlooked. F4U-4 is not one of the planes I can usually afford in AH2 so don’t recall the situation coming up.

I’m positive I got the usual oil all over the wind screen in other planes in AH3, especially the Brewster. At least before the 71 patch.

With further testing I found the following:

The F4U-4 has the engine cowling covered in oil and sweeps back over the canopy as seen in the following pic, but is not seen from inside.

On the other hand, the F4U-1D has the canopy covered and the view from inside shows it, as you have come to expect.

I haven't tried any other F4's.
