I use a cheap Wally World Logitec headset, which requires me to check the db boost box and set sliders to full. Problem is, the db mic boost slider won't stay set at full value. Any correction for this?

This is the in game boost correct?
Is it a USB or standard headset? Standard headsets can usually be boosted in the windows sound mapper. You may be able to boost some USB headsets (probably the high end ones) but I've never gotten it to work.

Standard pink/green inputs. I'll check Windows sound panel but the problem seems to be in-game. I set the mic boost slider to the full right position and the next day it's down on the other end or middle. :headscratch: :headscratch: :headscratch:

Sounds like the game tries to match the windows profile. Set the slider in windows, then in the game and see if that fixes it.

I have the G930 (something like that) from Logitech and have the same problem... at times. If I remember correctly, it was because I didn't have the proper recording device selected. That said, there have been times it seems simply to be glitchy. It is Logitech after all.

Instead of Logitech I'd say Windows. My 7 sometimes wants to put the Flash slider very low, then it will stay on my regular level for ages. Check your Windows sound settings thoroughly, there might be some 'allow this be adjusted automatically' checkbox ticked.
