I dont know who this pilot was. I dont know if he was a turbolasersuperspeed cheatxor, or just a guy who happened to have lots of E, but WOW could the bastard give me a bad time with his puny plane.
Please download the film to see what I'm talking about. I started filming about half the fight, the 202 had been chasing me for about 2 minutes, and closing up. I was in 109-G10. My efforts to outrun, outclimb, him were in vain.
It came to the point where I just had to accept that he was gonna be there behind me trying to kill me with his toejamty guns, so I just went on with my fighting as if he wasnt there.
whoever that was, you rule! (or you suck, depending if TOWD was right and there are all kinds of cheating and hax0ring in this game)

Whenever I 've run across a pilot I want to find out who it was - some runner, an odd maneuvering plane, etc etc - I bail when in close proximity to them to give them a kill.
So if someone or thier plane does something odd and you want to be sure who it is then just bail next time.
Anyway, here's a good ole <PUNT> to bring this to Rude's attention ;)

I liked the bolded "WOW" and "turbolasersuperspeed cheatxor" was a nice touch along with "...if TOWD was right and there are all kinds of cheating and hax0ring in this game" but it still comes up a bit flat. A veiled personal insult, reference to the Italian conspiracy and a few "!!!" would have added to the flavor.

The "ALL CAPS" addition would have played better in the initial post, points have to be lost for bad form. Still missing the "!!!" at the end. Ouch!!! :)

too many people talking toejam, none has seen the film i bet

Looks to me like he got fast and didn't bleed to much E. Every time he came ripping up your 6 you were only at about 300 mph- I checked between the 6 view and looking at the gauges. As soon as you got above 350 you started pulling away rapidly. Also, I think he cut inside your climb there at the beginning, and while you were chasing the B-26 he was basically headed in a straight line to you.

Are you really being serious? I did watch the film and didn't see anything unusual. The 202 only caught up when you were busy with the B26 or other aircraft as far as I could see. Otherwise you were pulling away quite nicely -- slowly at first -- but surely. Dago's ammo situation explains why the 202 even survived as long as it did. I was surprised by one the other day that initially out accelerated my p-47 in a dive, but I was starting to catch up before I ran out of alt.
He was like some ratty little terrier nipping at your heels :)

The C.202, like the C.205, accelerates very well in a dive. They maneuver well even at 450mph+ and retain E very well. Many P-51D and 109G-10 pilots make the mistake to underestimate the Macchi's family. When you have one of them fast at your six ... well, extend :)
Animal, *IMHO* your G-10 was always too slow and low.

I was looking for a new excuse. Thanks. :)

I watched the film. You were begging to be shot down by the 202, ignoring it like you were. 'Course, it was the HO of the B26 that did ya in. Fidd just happened to be the guy that put all the rounds into you.
I didn't see anything I was overly impressed about. When you leveled out you pulled steadily away. When you got cute and started the vertical stuff he was able to cut the tangents. Every barrel roll effectively cut the distance, though your overall speed didn't drop much.
Dago did his part, closing in and forcing Fidd to break off. You went for the B26 hitting the field, and the 109 and 202 closed on you all the while. You finally lost an engine in the middle of hostile territory, and it was the end.
'Course this COULD be an effort to win a certain weekly award. ;) If so, include more insane euphemisms, caps, and !!!'s. ;)

I agree GATT - the 205 is my new favorite plane - it behaves exactly the way I *wish* the 109G6 did, and with better guns to boot!

Yeah 202 was obviously Fidd, put a ton of bb's into ya.

Damn, started his account last night and already accused of hacking. Damn AW pilots should be shot after they are strangled.
