Title: SDL
Post by: JOACH1M on October 01, 2015, 09:46:43 PM
Why isn't this happening anymore?

The squad that caused the most issues is now disbanded.

Lets go

Every year someone posts a wheres SDL thread, and nothing happens. Also its failure is always put on one squad.

See you again in 12 months.

we need more players to form squads big enough to accommodate proper match ups.

I don't blame KN or perdweeb for it failing, (we had what 80 odd? successful matches and only 3 with issues) just your average joe pilot/CO prefers to win the war than actually fight in any sort of competitive environment.

At least people like Skyyr carry the right mentality to want to compete.  We need more fester's and people like him because they make the game more interesting.

An astonishingly high number of people are not even in a squad these days. At this very moment, one quarter of all players in online Late War are not associated with any squad (with an unknown number of one man squads on top of that).
I have no actual numbers for comparison, but certainly there weren't that many squadless folks flying around like 7 years ago. Even totally new guys were quickly absorbed by one, or very eager to form one of their own.

How about a SDL with 1v1 bouts.  Squad picks their 5 best sticks and the team that wins 3 of the 5 bouts is Victor.

joach1m, maybe you should volunteer to run it? I'm sure they could use another CM and it would give you an opportunity to get more involved in the Game.

It's an idea. What does it take to be a CM?

And wasn't there a bunch of drama within the CM team recently?
