Title: Battle of Britain mission in AvA alpha

This is running in the AvA alpha arena. It is set as participation optional so you will not be added automatically and will need to join from the populate screen.

This should be a good test of most of the mission briefing functions.

Hitech, if it proves to work OK, this would be an appropriate one to put in the mission arena. It is about a 30 minute mission.

I joined late and found most all of the Allies had been destroyed??????   My guess is that 303s are just not strong enough  :ahand for this type off match up.   You could possibly adjust this through lethality, but I am not sure if that will be allowed  :police: online.  The other and more obvious solutions would be to increase  :airplane: :airplane: :airplane: the Allies numbers exponentially, and/or mix in some cannon birds.

Flight for Bishops is disabled.  Flight for Knights (Axis) works properly as designed.

Will there ever be an arena where you drop in, pick a side, pick an available ride. Then up not part of a mission and simply hunt the AI?

Bustr,

This is what Jimson is doing.  You can do just that if you are Knight (axis).  Don't join the mission, and then up from an airfield nearest to the red dar bar.  It just so happens that there are still a couple of bugs yet, one of them being that flight is disabled for Bishops (allies) currently. 

Hopefully this will get sorted out and more will (not join the mission) and free fly to AI targets (possibly mixed with other online players) and have ACM fights instead of attacks on mindless drones.

It's doing some weird things right now. When the terrain changes for no known reason, it defaults the arena tables but even then Bishops shouldn't be disabled.

Taking the mission out for now.

As Chili said Bustr, were trying to work that out.
