Best trailer for this movie yet.
Fan re-vamped version, using video from all the trailers: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=XIRoASL90EI
Which is the best so far :)

"There've been stories." "They're all true." "...So Greedo shot first?" "...Get out."
Looks watchable, but so did the trailers for Phantom Menace. Anything's gotta be better than the prequels.

Even though Lucasfilms dropped the ball, the real question is; Will Disney set it on fire, piss in the ashes and bury it in crap? Or, will they actually restore the franchise to what it was, or better? :headscratch:

Seems like it's mostly sold out into Jan already here. Sheesh... hope it doesn't suck.

At least in the LA area, if you haven't pre-ordered your tickets for opening weekend, there is pretty much no chance in Hell of getting tickets now. I've already had 3 offers from people to buy my tickets but told them to take a walk.

Went to see LOTR Twin Towers on opening night midnight showing. Never again. Third row from the front, second seat in from the left. I spent the entire night looking up Gandalf's nose, could barely see what was going on.
Sadly I think I'm going to need to wait quite a while before the crowds will drop off on this one.

I managed to cop two seats in the center about 3/4 back from the screen. Yes, our theater has reserved seating. Woot!

The biggest opening weekend of all time. By far.

Crossing my fingers, because it does look really good. :pray
The bad guy's mask isn't very scary though, with its chrome disco trim.
Darth Maul should have somehow been resurrected instead.

There will be blood in the streets if this thing sucks.
This is why I'm going in NOT expecting much.
I'd rather be pleasantly surprised than have my soul crushed again.

Actually, I have very low expectations. I am more excited about the fact he used 35mm film to film it.

I'll be satisfied if it's a better film than the prequels. I'll be happy if it has that level of quality and feels like the original films. I'll be psyched if it's even better than just a good film that feels like true Star Wars - which would make it probably better than Return of the Jedi.
From what I've seen and heard, I'm expecting to walk out of the theater very happy.

What I've seen so far just makes it look like a rehash of the original film.
Protagonist from a desert planet in the ass-end of space? Check. Meets a plot-centric main character who gets stranded on said planet? Check. Meets an older hero of the last generation who plays Mr. Exposition? Check. Flees said planet with Han Solo on the Millennium Falcon? Check.
They even have a friggen' DEATH STAR on the poster.
It's one thing for them both to follow the same archetype of the Hero's Journey. But this much similarity is a bit of a concern. Now, maybe it won't be once we actually know the context, but it's disconcerting to say the lease.

I have insider information, just take my word on this, this movie is going to be fantastic and could stand on it's own as a great film. Of course it's about people in conflict and how they act and react, that's what all good adventure stories are.
It goes without saying that it will blow all the box office records out, but it's going to be a great film.

It's not a Death Star, it's a Starkiller. Completely different! ;)
Not going to be high cinema, but I am cautiously optimistic it's going to be a good Star Wars movie. Lucas not writing dialogue alone is a major point in its favor.

This reminds me a lot of James Bond Movies in the 60s' Lines 3 to 4 blocks long trying to get tickets.
You betcha I'm gonna see this!
