Thanks for posting that, hadn't seen the test pilot one before.

The aircraft in the factory pics, HJ728, eventually went to 23 Sqn while the latter were in the Med, amazingly shows up in a later shot after a belly-landing. (First part of the serial is hard to see, but the Operations Record Book has HJ728 showing up on the squadron around this time):

IIRC there's an alarm in the flying Mossie that goes off it it gets below a certain speed without the undercarriage being down, but that's going from memory...

  IIRC,I was young but he told me he attached the wings to fuselage,I laughed when he told me they used hand saws doing this!

   There's a pic from downsview that shows most of the workers but it's too far away for me to get a good look.
