P-38F, "White 33", recovered from New Guinea, is fired up for the first time since 1944.
Gives me a lump in my throat to watch. Not only out of respect and admiration for the guys at Allison way back when, but for the dedicated crew bringing her back to life. Been following this restoration as she is only a few hours away from my current location. Hoping to see her fly, maybe at an airshow summer 2016?
