Hiyas Guys and Gals
Jokers Low has now reach the beta testing stage for the Online Scenario Signup Page. Our thanks goes out to Exile who has put many hours into working on this system, and hosting it from his site. Thanks Exile !!
Now we need all you players to come help us test it out, and see if there are any bugs.
Go to the link below, and fill out the form completely just as if you were signing up for the Scenario. If anything seems strange or wrong, please post it here in this thread.
This is a test. This is only a test, you are not actually signing up for Africa Corps. (http://bbs.hitechcreations.com/smf/Smileys/default/smile.gif)
Ok lets see if you can break it!

Thanks Everyone !!

It's not setup to send an email confirmation. Did you guys want one??
Let me know.
Ex .......................

I saw the confirmation at the top .. sweet. but would it be hard to add email confirmation?
That way when an event comes up a month later I can just check my email to be sure what I signed up for?

All I've got to send in the email is the info I displayed at the end of a successful signup. Let Verm know about any other info you would like and I'll add that to the auto-reply.

Worked like a charm

Tested:
Signed up for the event. Got my first choice, and the number of 202's went down by one after confirmation.
Tried to sign up a second time, got a duplicate email address.
Only entered one choice of planes, got generic error message about filling in all the fields.
Tried to sign up with bogus email and same handle, got error message "Handle already in use" (or something like that).
Used bogus email and handles to bring 54' 202's to "Full". 54' did not show up on choices after Full.
Can't think of much else to test. Thanks for all the work!

Come on everybody (http://bbs.hitechcreations.com/smf/Smileys/default/smile.gif) We really need you to pound the hell outta this thing.
If we don't test this thing fully, and then it breaks during the real signups, I don't want to hear any complaints if you don't get your favorite ride (http://bbs.hitechcreations.com/smf/Smileys/default/wink.gif)
Rocket, signups will be conducted on a first come first serve basis. So if a squad definitely wants to fly together, I would reccommend selecting a "flight" that is not the most popular (these tend to literally fill up in minutes in most scenarios, like 2 or 3 minutes tops), and making sure that the squad members either all try to signup as soon as the form opens, or have a designated squad member sign others up.
Exile, can we enlarge the text at the top that tells us the results of our application? And yes email confirmation would be nice, if the server can handle that application and the loads it causes. Nice work (http://bbs.hitechcreations.com/smf/Smileys/default/smile.gif) Everything works perfectly that I can see.

I've got the auto-reply in there now. Is there any additional info you want to add to the email?
What is the url for the return link to the main site?

Exile I would suggest something like the following.
You might also add a statement on the "successful" response on the website for the registrant to check their email address for accuracy, since if its wrong no one will be able to contact them with more information.

I'm curious how Fury got "Furytest" in there 4 times.
-
I tried a few things to break it, but couldn't.
Only comment I have is that you make the "error" messages (ex. input all fields, etc) a bit more prominant (larger font, blinking, whatever) for those of us who go through life in a bit of a daze (http://bbs.hitechcreations.com/smf/Smileys/default/wink.gif)
P.S. My information was updated correctly in the order of battle, and the email reached me correctly with the correct information.

When I was signing up with different handles I went from "Furytest1" to "Furytest5" (ok maybe not 5 but you get the drift). I was getting the "duplicate handle" error so I was changing handles/emails to bring the 54' to "FULL". Maybe there is a limit to the number of characters in the handle? I was typing in 9 characters, if 8 is the max (I don't remember the AH limit) then maybe an edit on the handle?

Ahhh (http://bbs.hitechcreations.com/smf/Smileys/default/biggrin.gif)
That's it. I didn't put a max field length on the handle field.
Thanks
