Hey, when you guys do those big 38/Lanc hordes... could ya please try and stay alive awhile? I dunno how or why so many of ya die within 1 minute of arrival, but gosh.. you aren't even suiciding in (and <S> for that at least). It's like, one minute there's 15 of ya buzzing around, the next there's 2.... wtf, ack aint THAT good. :t
-
The ack isn't that good, but I think the problem is that the pilots aren't either.
-
Fly a fighter and talk to me.
-
They might live longer if they flew B17's as a hoard.
-
it's a social experiment ... individuals live longer when they work toward a common goal rather than individually ... except in Aces High.
As Tumor noticed, If I see a horde of same model planes such as P38s or P47s I'm safe to take off, two third of them will find a way to auto terminate in the first few minutes. I think it's peer pressure on being target fixated over common sense. :old:

Doesn't need to be model specific, but damn that's good.

Shouldn't that be a P-51? :rofl But it does still fit. :)

I like big hordes and I can not lie
You other brothers can't deny... :D
Keep them coming, Bishop or Rook. The Pigs will eat consume them all. :aok

That's perfect hahaha because 5 out of 10 P38 drivers who don't fly it often will lawndart every time not realizing it compresses so quickly.

yup me ! I tried to dive away from bul1dog2 hellcat to get some separation he closed fast and my plane was shaking so violently I spilt my beer and he just kept closing till he took my wing off..I should have just kept my fight vertical I was doing ok in a more of a bnz attack I just got impatient

In my brief time as a Bishop, so far I actually haven't seen or been on the classic P-38 face-plant raid that I witnessed first-hand from my time as a knight or rook. I haven't been on much at night, but during the day at least, things have been somewhat well-paced, a lot of fun, and pretty efficient. (I'd also add that, having been on all three countries, it's been my experience that all three countries are very welcoming, fun, and largely stocked full with good guys.)

The secret is to fly the 38 low so you can't build up enough speed. It also gives you a much better chance of surviving a crash when you drag a wing tip. Trust me on this :aok

I actually removed the following from my original post.... "I mean really, you guyz break more 38s in one raid than Guppy has in the last 10yrs".

Last night's Bish horde was the worst I've seen in a long time ! They kept coming in around 25k, dive on ya, Miss, then dive for their Vbase ack wich had about 15 Wirbs waiting.
1 poor feller even drove an M4 two hours to our AA strats, but I found him and killed him with only a mile or so left to go. Bet that ruined his night :devil
-
I've never seen any of the p38 horde land with wheels down.

Are you applying for the Pig Buffer position?

If I was around that's more kills for me....keep hording bish.
-
By the OP, i couldnt decide that they are bomb-n-bailing or just simply getting slaughtered by a handsome of defenders.
The good thing is, there are enough people in this game to form a horde (oh the goold ole days with 500+ players online) :devil
-
Death to the Bish horde!
Or any other horde with overwhelming odds and failures.

:rofl Hitting that center line is pretty good marksmanship...so to speak.

A couple months ago I was taking off and a horde of p38s filled the skies, probably 7 or 8 of them. Next thing I see is all but 2 lawndart into the ground...

Sometimes... it's Ponys's.
Nobody has the nuttz to try it with Stukas or IL2s or Kates or whatever.
Friggin people need to grow a pair and liven up the MA with Hanger Queens now and then... it makes things interesting.

Years ago Fester made a mission to kill an enemy cv. We all upped SDBs. Flew a few sectors to get up to 20k then we dove in on a cv that was in a cv battle. It was a lot of fun! That plane was fun to dive strait down in.
-
Did you vanish into the mist?

Hey, I can finally say I was in a Bishop P-38 raid, about a week or so ago. For some reason nobody face-planted, though. I even landed 2 kills and about 6 assists. It was a hoot. I forget who posted the mission, maybe Kriskros, but what struck me the most was the constant communication that went on: speeds, energy, assignments, etc. Start to finish, it was a lot of fun.
