got booted and could not log back in for 10 mins or so then got in and got booted again, and can not log back in  hope it gets fixed before FSO
-
Same here. I got back in within 3 minutes and was not put back in flight. Nobody was put back in flight. I lost a set of B29s and 300 perks. :furious

Its going to crap htc needs to get it together...only 2 yes 2 rooks on that bad real bad
-
Pingplotter guys! Post a screen shot of a ping plot to the game servers. The Internet is not controllable by HTC, but they can help YOU get isp companies to check problems with the routes to the servers.
Stop whining and start helping :aok

I don't know how the weather is by you guys, but it's been extremely windy here in Northern Michigan.
I'm sure it's disrupted/slowed some service, from downed trees and what not...

I'm not quite sure how it's HTC's fault that only two players are on the Rook side. :headscratch:
-
Hmmmm...yesterday on range channel, I overheard some say, "Well, it looks like HTC has the Rook armor defense turned all the way up today." :rofl :rofl :rofl
This was from a seasoned vet of many years, and he was dead serious.
-
Ive experienced a sharp increase in the number of discos in the past couple of weeks as well, at least once a day
-
Lots of solar flares and such last few weeks...anytime I have connection issues I check solar ham site...and usually there have been flares or geomagnetic storms

When you lose half your subscribers its your fault. who else would it be?

Weather here in Keller/Ft.Worth, TX is beautiful. No issues with my internet here.

We cannot control the Internet. Still tracing data, but it appears the problem happened a few hops away from us. Should not have impacted everyone.
-
There was probably about 150 people on when "the event" happened.
When I was finally able to log back in, there were 11.
What I don't know is if those 11 were still logged in from prior to
the mass dump or if they had, like me, just come back into the
arena.

Let me guess, you probably think the Intertardnet is just a series of tubes. If the problem is at a hop prior to reaching HTC servers, how is it HTC's fault?

Could be the economy.
A lot goes into "keeping" players interested in a game. With so many options vying for the slim "entertainment dollars" There is a lot more to it than saying HTC is falling down on the job.
It seems to me that all you do is complain about what is missing, skins, maps, people. Is it possible you have a problem?

Its the Internet. Outrage is required.

I Don't believe this is a problem with "the internet", as on Tuesday Only the Knights were booted, and none put back into flight. One of our fields was under heavy attack by the Bishops, who had a CV nearby. I had just rearmed and taken off heading back to the enemy spawn when POOF "lost connection to server". didn't surprise me because the last week this has been a common occurrence. I was able to log right back in without any problem, Sat in tower waiting for the "you will be put back into flight shortly" message.. But it never came. or "you have crashed", The AI bailed" no recorded kill, Nothing. just sitting in the tower like I just logged in normally.
That's when I noticed we still had huge ENEMY dar bars over our field, but not a single KNIGHT was airborne. Observing the chatter on Country channel and 200 confirmed that the mass boot had only affected the Knights, and nobody was put back into flight.
I don't think that a random internet outage would be so selective, and even interfere with programming that detects connection loss and initiates the protocol that puts us back into flight. :headscratch:

LMAO just fyi I was there and yes the bishops and rooks were booted I myself was booted that night about 7 times including the incident you are referring to..just not all bishops but I was not put back in flight and took me three times to get back in the game...of course I'm on a laptop using Verizon cell tower in my truck parked in Nebraska at the time so in never to upset even in apart of a mass boot makes me feel like I'm not alone lol

I hope this is your attempt at being funny. Or are you really suggesting HTC kicks off a certain country for some reason. That is insane

No, I'm suggesting that it was a server / program issue. And as for Scott's reply, we must not be talking about the same incident. I looked at the roster during this time and there were about 45 Rooks in flight, I think about 41 Bish in flight. and 23 Knights logged, but only 6 in flight.(including myself)

we had cv parked off of 41 we had 42 but lost it back to bits and about 20 min later the mass boot happened that I was apart of
-
We investigate every mass boot and in the history of HiTech Creations, there has never been an incident where a mass boot impacted only one country.
There have been mass boots caused by conditions which the server was not ready for.
During HiTech's investigation he discovered the reconnect AI pilot failed due to a condition involving bombers and gunners. It was not the cause of the mass boot, but it did cause the reconnect AI pilot to fail for everyone, once the bomber pilot tried to reconnect.
-
I'm going to start taking screen shots of both the plotter and the national weather map to make sure, but I'm pretty sure the issue that affects my connectivity the most is severe weather. Plus the garbage equipment FIOS puts in my home.

I have discoed about 5 times in the last two weeks. When it happens I also cant get into the forums. All other internet sites work.

Just an FYI: at about 4PM PST today there was another 'mass' boot ('mass' meaning several people booted at the same time, but certainly not all; when I got back in there were enemy planes over my field that couldn't have gotten there if they had been booted as well). When I tried to reconnect, the LW arena, and all arenas on the LW server like AvA, were 100% ping lost in AH plot (but not, I think, in PingPlotter). Other arenas, like EW and MW were up. When I did connect after the boot, it didn't put me back in flight. Some time before being booted I had noticed weird delay behavior: I would select something in the hanger or select a new field and it would take many seconds for it to take affect despite there being no peak in the variance plot.

I think I also experienced the same thing, don`t remember the exact time. Was in flight when the UDP-TCP message appeared. After connection was lost tried to reconnect quickly. Didn`t notice the ping value, but after connecting the online server I was in a tower and all alone. The map was empty and no bases flashing. Also had no message about AI flight crashing etc. Got out of the server and noticed there was "---" instead of a ping number on some servers. Switched off the game, unplugged my modem for a moment, then got back in and everything seemed normal again, but I was in a tower and no message about the AI.

I searched and found a bug with why the AI is not reconnecting, but that has nothing to do with why the dumps are happening.
It has do do with bomber gunners trying to shoot.

It amazes me that some will jump to the conclusion that HTC
is always at fault and without proof such as pingplotter!
It could be HTC BUT it can also be the ISP or any stop along the way!!
Of course as some convict another without proof, why would the
conviction of HTC be any different?

In general getting better or getting worse? I know what I hear. Just fix it.

Doing the best I can. Calling all 12,000 ISP's involved with the care and transportation of your data to/from any given point on the Internet will take a while. Although, it seems they are not taking my yelling and screaming seriously. Not sure why. They should know I control the Internet. :)
