Title: dot commands
Post by: pallero on November 13, 2015, 10:35:50 AM
Is it possible to roll 5 or 10 latest dot commands using arrow up or down?
And so that you can edit that command you pick. For example you had used the command ".dt f01vhh" and you pick it, and edit it for ".dt f01amb" or ".dt f02vhh", so you dont have to write the whole command again every time.

Being a computer guy, and familiar with a command prompt, I often have been in the middle of a furball and wished for this feature.

In addition to this, i would like to see the option to use a single dot command for an entire field. As well as it poping out a side window on the clipboard instaed of in the text buffer.

.dt f37 and it gives you the downtime for all the objects on the field. Or even .dt f37all.

While you wait on your wish, try a thrustmaster MFD Cougar.

You can then use the TARGET software to program dot commands.

You can also use voice command software then just say something like "Down Time." or "Salvo 3"

The only problem with this, is that it would only save you the time of typing "/.dt f" you would still have to type in the field and the object you want checked. I have a Razor keyboard which allows me to setup macros. There isnt that big of a difference when you still have to type in the field and object.

Now you know why I get shot down so much.   :aok

Seriously though, I am sometimes checking downtimes or changing my salvo or something like that,  I keep wishing I could repeat the previous command like I do when I'm working on a computer.

I agree.  It would be nice if commands were buffered, and you could arrow back to a previous one.  It would be great to type ".f Skyyr" a bunch and see the result  :aok  :bolt:
