Been keeping up with this, keeps getting worse and worse. I heard the news briefly mention "France 24" and in the context they used I was dreading it was some sort of passenger jet gone missing.
Prayers for healing and emotional peace :pray

I give France grief tongue in cheek but I am heartbroken and very angry about this incident. It's time that all of the civilized nations of the world put aside their differences and eradicate these jackwagons for good. Ranger if you go you keep your damn head on a swivel dude. I love you brother.

Been trying like crazy to find the Sept-11 era drawing of the Statue of Liberty coming off its pedestal rolling up its sleeves ready to fight. Unfortunately my Google-foo just isn't strong enough to find it (tried Bing too). From what I can tell, it was an advertisement place by General Electric in the NY Times (maybe others) shortly after 9-11. Considering the Statue of Liberty was a gift from France, I thought it would be the perfect illustration of solidarity and our feelings on the matter. Can anyone find or have this drawing?

I think everyone should think for ten minutes and calm down.
In the UK we have had this sort of thing for 45 years with the Irish.
Its not nice and the civilised world will adapt to deal with these crimminals.
As with other extremist groups, grouping them together with a nation of people, or an entire religion, is inappropriate.
As to the statue drawing, for some reason I cannot edit that post. Don't know why. However, you should remember, that statue represents the liberty of the people of a nation. Those people put liberty on a pedestal, literally. The government would not fund a place to put the statue, gifted us so generously by the French. So the people of this nation put together the money and put her on the pedestal she deserves, and in so doing proved that it is the people and not just a government that hold her high. Every now and again, liberty has to step down off that pedestal , pull up her sleeves, and get after those who would take it from others. So I guess this is a bit more than a high school art project to me, and certainly shows that our truest and only future comes from our youth, and their inate ability to truly see the bird and not the robin.

Condolences to the French people.
I've given the French plenty of crap over the years, but we share far more in common with their culture than we do those gibbering savages from "that" part of the world.
Heck, even the Russian's and us have more in common than those filthy vermin.
I think all the civilized countries should put their petty differences aside and go on a bug hunt. Because there isn't any live and let live with bugs.
And I'd have no problem at all with chemical or tactical nuclear weapons if we can get some bunched up enough to justify the ordnance.
Crap is going to hit the fan if it turns out those attackers infiltrated with the sea of refugees.

Really sad this happened. What a tragedy for the lives lost and their families. It does not make any kind of sense.
:airplane: Yes, it was a tragic thing, but we must remember, the ICIS nut cakes were not born with the hatred they have for Western civilization, they are taught to be that way, using a certain "book" as their guide!

I have that exact book icepac. Old girlfriend gave it to me.
So ISIS is attacking the countries that are attacking with airstrikes. The Russians had an airliner blown up. France had multiple shootings. The UK and U.S. are next. I hope this doesn't have anything to do with it, but a national guard armory was broken into overnight here in the U.S. and weapons were stolen.
