I have five spares!

I’ve been using the same Microsoft Sidewinder Precision 2 joystick since I started playing this game. I like it so much that whenever I see another at a flea market or garage sale, if they are about five bucks, I buy them. I just got down the tote from the attic and pulled out my first replacement. At this rate I should be good for the next 50 years.
CHEERS!

Figures, one of the best things MS did well, they quit doing.
Along with FS.

Lots of love for this hardware. It's a shame that the buttons are very poor.
-
The hat switch went out (I could not look to the left) the rest of the buttons still work fine.
-
I've been soldering in new ones on my stick.
-
My brother left one in a closet for years, when I first started playing I grabbed that one. I used that joystick the first few year I played the game. The Z axis started to go out had to replace it.

My hat switch is finally on the fritz after 12 years...
My only really complaint with the SW is it needs a few more buttons. I can't run button scripts like I could over at Brand X.
I have a Force Feedback Pro like mint sitting in the box still but.........

Still use my sidewinder pre pro 1. One of the views on the hat switch has become difficult, no big deal when using trackir tho.

I could name a host of companies that do that or have done that and are much worse off for it (Sears comes to mind)
Always seems to work that way though. A company gets something right. And they stop doing it

MS was the best fighter stick I ever owned.
