Title: Connection last night
Post by: 38ruk on December 03, 2015, 01:11:09 AM
Hey Skuzzy , last night was pretty bad for me. It looks like it's a Verizon issue, but wanted to double check and see if I should be talking to TWC on my end . I didn't disco at all but it was really laggy in game.  Thanks !

It is the same issue it has been.  The connection between Alter.net and Verizon.  Those Chicago hubs are getting nailed, for some reason.  It is not just Alter.net.

B100.DLLSTX-LCR-22.verizon-gni.net [130.81.199.67] is giving me issues again Skuzzy . I know it beyond your control. As long as i'm not losing packets the increase in ping shouldnt matter too much correct?  Thx <S>

That data shows a perfectly fine connection, with no packet loss.  The ping times are due to that leg of the connection stretching from Chicago to Dallas.  It is a bit of a long haul.

If the ping times are higher than normal, it will be due to data traffic.
