I am thinking of supporting FBX format for shapes, would this help many people?

I still have close to 100 .ac files to convert, so... See if I understand correctly.
This would be in ADDITION to support for the .ac file format?
The Object Editor would be able to import and export .fbx files as well as .ac files?
And this would allow a broader range of 3d graphics programs to be used for AH objects, so long as they have the ability to export (with a plugin if necessary) .fbx files?
I'd try it.

This is a pretty smart move considering all of the 3D programs that support it. :aok

googled fbx 3d model.... 2nd hit...

Are we going to get accurate modelling of the red light district in Amsterdam (for the Operation Market Garden scenario)?
:devil

Jimson and I were kicking this back and forth last night and wondering how the 'Comments' for flags etc would be handled. We thought it unlikely that multiple plug-in's for every 3d graphics program would be released.
If the 'Comments' were handled directly in the OE, then wow. That would be pretty cool.
