Title: Monitor Inputs
Post by: diaster on December 14, 2015, 09:48:08 PM
Hi all,
Curious question... Which is the better input to use for gaming and for general use I guess. HDMI or DVI.
Input is appreciated!

I have used DVI>dsub to LCD, and now HDMI to LED, I can tell no difference overall.

Number of pixels you want to push seems to be a deciding factor but the modern vid cards are all about pushing pixels.

Thanks,
was curious if it had anything to do with clarity. 4gig vid card at hdmi. Thinking about going with curved 20:9 ratio or larger 16:9 currently at 27"

Displayport (not one of your choices) is the clear winner:

When 1.3 comes out with ADAPTIVE SYNC, the others will not be an option.

HDMI and DVI have the same video quality.  Only difference is that HDMI also carries sound.
