Striker1 - you totally misunderstood me tonight.
I made an open offer to go to DA tonight. I stated that I was willing to go with no ammo and to not fire back.
You took that as some bad bellybutton bravado bull meaning I would (could) beat anyone without even firing a shot. You thought I was being an bellybutton and claiming I could beat people without even firing.
That was not my intent. I was bored, there was no fighter on fighter action. I play the game to fight other fighters. There is my motivation.
The intent behind my comment was to say that no matter what, the opposing party would not get shot. I was (and am) willing to be a target drone (well, one that moves). I am willing to do that without going near the fire button.
I can learn so much from that!! You chose to see my comment as arrogance. It was not meant that way. You logged before I typed my response.
You must have a poor opinion of me to think that I was acting all high and mighty. It is not my style but I can do little to change your opinion but to keep interacting and hope you take my comments at face value and in the spirit they are meant.

I have experienced the same thing on multiple occasions. After many years of being misunderstood and over reacting to it I finally realized how much of a fool I am for trying to persuade players from understanding my points so I layed it down. My gamer life has become more enjoyable ever since.
Fess, you have done all that you can now. Good luck finding some good action in the near future!

Fess, Striker1 is a squad mate, but he doesn't spend anytime here in the forum. I will try to pass on your comments. He's pretty easy going though. :salute

If this is the same Sriker that flies with us (VF-17) often in FSO, you're right JimmyD, he's a laid-back, heckuva nice fellow. Fess, I'm sure your attempts to ameliorate the situation won't go unrewarded. :salute

Not to be cute, but English may not be Striker's native tongue...Spanish maybe. While he does have his moments of :furious :x :furious...I'm guessing he simply didn't fully understand the situation.

Fess I talked to Striker1 today and passed on the gist of your comments. His reply was "no problem, its just a game so He doesn't take anything personal" He also asked that I thank you for the response, and he looks forward to seeing you in the LWMA. :salute
