THE ACTUAL FM2s ONLY HAD AN INCREASE OF 150 HP OVER THE F4F-4 WHEN REENGINED WITH THE WRIGHT POWERPLANT. AN INCREASE OF ABOUT 13 PERCENT, WHICH HEELPED IN AN INCREASE OF WEIGHT AMOUNTING TO ABOUT 500 LBS. A 10 PERCENT INCREASE. THE AH2 FM2 HAS AN INITIAL RATE OF CLIMB OF AROUND 3500FPM. THE ORIGIONAL F4F-4 HAD AN INITIAL CLIMB RATE OF 2190 FPM. SO THE AH2 FM2 ACTUALL OUT PERFORMS ONE OF THE PLANES DESIGNED TO REPLACE IT. THE CHANCE VOUGHT F4U-1 CORSAIR. WHICH HAS AND INITIAL CLIMB RATE OF ONLY 2950 FPM. AND THE ACTUAL MINIMAL TURN RADIUS OF THE FM2 IS 567 FEET WITHOUT FLAPS AND 486 FEET WITH FLAPS. IT APPEARS TO ME THAT THE FM2 IN AH2 CAN OUT TURN THE ZEKE AT SLOW SPEEDS. IT ALSO SEAMS THE ZEKE REACHES A STALL BEFORE THE FM2 WHILE IN A TURN AND CAN'T MAINTAIN AS SLOW OF TURN BELOW 5000FT. ,BUT I'LL HAVE TO DO SOME MORE TESTING ON THAT. HAVE A GRAT DAY.

The FM2 is 500 lbs lighter than the F4F-4, not heavier.
-
FM2 will in theory have a hard time out turning a Zeke, The Zeke however is a lot less benign at stall speed and a less experienced Zeke pilot will likely not be able to turn w maximum AoA without stalling so the FM2 in reality have a decent chance to beat the Zeke.
The nemesis of the FM2 is the Brewster, the Brew have better turn and roll performance than the FM2.
What the FM2 do have is excellent view over the nose, its one of the few planes you can take a near 90 degree deflection shot and actually see your target and its very useful when taking snap shots.

AS FAR AS WEIGHT GOES THERE ARE LOT OF DESREPANCIES, BUT MOST OF MY RESEARCH ON REAL AIRCRAFT STATES THE FM2 WEIGHS ABOUT 500 LBS MORE THAN THE F4F.. USN MUSEUM ARCHIVES IS ONE PLACE I RESERCHED. EVEN IF THE FM2 WEIGHS LESS IT'S ONLY 500 LBS THAT STILL DOESN'T SEEM TO JUSTIFY A 75 PERCENT INCREAS IN CLIMB RATE.

I have seen nothing that suggest the F4F and FM2 are modeled wrong in the game. F4F was a Heavy bird with really bad climb performance. The FM2 had 150 more hp and was lighter than the F4F. 500lbs less and 150 more hp do a lot to performance. (And i dont see were u get that 75% increase from, its more like 25%)

If you want any changes to be considered you should post documentation to support your claims.

You've got the climb rate wrong for both planes:
F4F-4 has the initial climb rate over 2400fpm, not 2190fpm and FM-2 has the initial climb rate around 3200fpm, not around 3500fpm.

Dude, find your damn Caps Lock.
Also keep in mind that rate of climb isn't just a function of raw horsepower and weight. The F4U-1 and F4U-1A generate the same amount of power, and weigh approximately the same. However the 1A has greatly improved climb and acceleration because it fitted a paddle prop instead of the -1's toothpick.

THE INITIAL CLIMB RATE OF A REAL F4F IS 2190 FT PR MINUTE. THE INITIAL CLIMB RATE IF THEE FM3 HERE IS ABOUT 3350 PER MINUTE. WHICH IS A DIFFERNCE OF 1160 FPM. SO ITS ABOUT 50 PERCENT INCREASE.... AND THE FM2 HERE IS STILL A 400 FPM FASTER CLIMBER THAN THE F4U1. THE NUMBERS DON;T ADD UP TO ME.

Despite its increase in power, the F4U-1 is a SIGNIFICANTLY heavier aircraft than the FM2, at nearly 12,000lbs loaded vs. 8000 lbs. The F4U-1 also has toothpick prop. The FM-2 utilized a paddle prop (either a Curtiss cuffed or Hamilton Standard cuffless paddle), which generates more thrust. As I noted above about the F4U-1 vs 1A, while it's complicated, more thrust = better climb and acceleration.
AND TURN OFF YOUR @#$%ING CAPSLOCK!!!!

As far as we know it's accurate. If you have documentation that contradicts the game performance feel free to post it here.

someone is just unhappy because they lost to an FM2 in a fight it seems

You can wish for anything you think will improve the game.
You don't have to be correct. :D

+1
Its just common Internet etiquette not to use all caps. It is the equivalent of yelling every work you speak.
Thanks man. :salute

So, Rodbuster, was it Kong or TechWrek who slapped you around in their FM2
and caused you such pain and frustration?
