Title: How Ace's High has destroyed my willing suspension of disbelief...
Post by: EagleDNY on January 01, 2016, 08:36:05 PM
So I am watching Foyle's War on Netflix and they are showing Foyle's son flying Spitfires in 1940.  Instantly I notice that the Spitfire versions they are flying are much later models than they would have had in 1940.  I'm seeing 20mm cannons, I'm counting the number of exhaust pipes, I'm looking to see the size and placement of oil coolers and radiators -- trying to figure out what version of Spit it actually is, and whether or not it is a replica.

Thanks AH - I can no longer just accept a Spit IX as a Spit I any longer - no matter how pretty it is.

You probably don't want to watch P-51 Dragon Fighter.

Eagle just be happy inside knowing that it is a Spitfire!

If the BBC are making loads of money by selling some rights to air programmes on netflix and other platforms, so people living outside the UK can watch our TV programmes created in part by the licence fee (which we are forced to pay by law), does this mean they will have to repay me some of it as they could have made lots of profit from it?

Sorry for sounding like zack1234 but inquiring minds would like to know.

The one person who knows about spits in this game and real life is Dan (Corkyjr).

Very knowledgeable.

My son thought I was a total dork when we went to see Fury.  Thanks HTC.
