I wonder if they were ever worried about the falcon hitting the prop during climb out.
He mentioned in the video that when the hawk was attacking he'd cut the engine to avoid injury by the prop

There was a BBC TV show a while back which showed a falcon mother teaching her offspring how to bring down a pigeon. The mother dove down and hit the prey hard enough to slow it down then released it for use as a training aid. The kids had to have lots of goes though before they managed to hit the prey, so its not easy even for them. The show analysed the attack patterns, showing how the mother would dive into the pigeon's blind spot before striking and how the pigeon would make a break turn into the attack if it saw it coming. The parallels with fighter ACM were quite striking.
