I understood everything that woman said.

Many are a product of their surroundings. I traveled the world as an Air Force brat. When I was 12 My dad settled us in central Georgia. Up until then I spoke the same way local news casters do. No matter where they are from they all sound the same, clear and concise.
By the time I left high school I could understand the person in the video and unfortunately she would not find me out of place.
Visited LA at 21. The ones that are not high sound like the before mentioned news casters. Asked someone for directions once and the first thing he asked was "I hope you didn't bring any hogs with you. They tear up our crops when they get loose." :furious

That lady plus the "Hide yo kids, hide yo wife" guy would be TV Gold. The bar is just about low enough, all we need is a producer who is long on money and short on scruples.

Like Rud3boi I understood, every word and when called upon I can speak it as well. It all boils down to your life experiences.

Basically, so did I. I had to listen to her more than once, though. They didn't teach us that dialect back then at school...

it's better than some of the people around my part. Some of the Hispanics around here cant make up their mind if they want to speak English or Spanish and both get mixed together. Kinda amusing sometimes.

This. Listened twice. I like the acting abilities though...I can see her in a small role in some B movie in the future.
