Today in San Diego at a military hospital there was a report of an active shooter.
There currently is a policy of no concealed carry weapons allowed on military installations. So the policy is currently when faced with an active shooter

I just can't believe how incredibly stupid this is. We entrust these men and women to protect our country and yet we don't allow them to defend themselves when presented with danger. :bhead

Welcome to PC world -- a world where common sense is overridden by nonsensical, impractical ideas of how things should work or by people falling for ridiculous leftist memes.
This will be changing, though, I think.

No evidence of any shots fired.

The sky is falling! The sky is falling! We'll all die if we can't carry our guns! Not......I don't believe soldiers carry concealed anyway....

My son is currently active duty, and has a concealed carry permit in Texas. He is currently at Fort Hood Texas, where they've had two shooting incidents in recent memory.
I think after three tours in Iraq he is trustworthy enough to be allowed to carry on post. After all they trusted him with a fully loaded M1

First I AM NOT ANTI-gun. The problem is, who do you allow to carry on base?

You should study nam a little more and the rules of engagement allowed. What lines not to cross...... Etc.

Who is to say that any service man is carrying concealed or not? I know if I were licensed in the state I resided in and served, I'd probably carry but no one would ever know.
I pay no attention to those signs that say "Gun free zone" unless it's a TSA or a large sporting event where they actually check.
Vulcan, here you go.
