Title: Japan's new stealth fighter?
Post by: DaveBB on January 29, 2016, 05:26:25 PM
What's the initial thoughts on Japan's new stealth fighter?  I thought it looked very unstealthy.  Perhaps it is only meant to be stealthy from the front aspect?  Quite stubby wings too.

It's a technology demonstrator, not a fighter.

Why would it be a joke?  Japan is undoubtedly one of the few countries we know have the materials knowledge to build such aircraft.

I understand Godzilla is rather near sighted so it does not need to be that stealthy.  Makes sense :aok

That's a mean thing to say!   :rofl

I hope it is awesome.  We can't seem to build anything that can take on future threats, perhaps we can buy some from Japan.

Of course they do; I only took a quick look and thought so.

Is Pearl Harbour safe?

I am more concerned about Singapore, the HMS Repulse, and the HMS Prince of Wales.

The Joint Strike Failure is obviously a troll on the Chinese.  We want them to hack our program and steal all our secrets that don't actually work.  Should set them back about forty years.

It actually looks fairly small, so from a 'stealth' point of view, maybe the enemy will think it's just a cesna at 30k doing mach 1.5?

Actually, first thought's when seeing it reminded me of this:

So will it be war?

And are all colonials under the impression everyone is the enemy?

Except Iceland who are the rudest people in the world and contribute fish to the betterment of civilisation, and steam :old:

Has America sorted out the Chinese for building and stealing land from the poor Filipino and Vietnamese coral reefs yet?

We would help but our new carriers equipped with f35's aren't finished yet and are way over budget. Plus our new frigates haven't got enough power, so need a refit to install a third generator to keep the lights on.

    Bruv,

We have a few canoes and a few kayaks that we could lend you if needed!

We were going to get a few F35's but we found out there was no place to fasten the sled dogs to so we canceled the order!  It makes no sense to build a fancy sled and not have a place to connect the dogs to it......
