Title: Whinning.......it's better when it comes from an aircraft engine

I thought I would start a thread with cool aircraft sounds of flyby's. I've always loved the sound of that Merlin engine so here is a P-51D

In this one it's 20 51's and toward the end they fly in formation in a 51 pattern, i thinks its cool

I was told that the whistle sound comes from the wind passing through the gun barrels.

I was told that the whistle sound comes from the wind passing through the gun barrels.

Radiators and ducting. You can tape up the guns and you still get the whistle.

Crazy Horse has no gun barrels/ports and still whistles.
