Title: The heavy water war.
Post by: oakranger on February 07, 2016, 11:55:00 PM
It on Netflix right now. Mostly German and Norwegian speaking with some english. So far season 1 (2015) and looks good. If you do not know the little history of significant importance of heavy water and Germay stride to build the atomic bomb this will get you started.

I've been watching it over the last couple of days, a bit slow at times but still very interesting.

Germany lost of WWI was a result that the country was at its tipping point of collapse and America showing up to a back end of a__ beating on Germany. There was no one weapon that the allies had that change the cours of the war, significantly, that had a big enough impact.

WWII the Allies had to A bomb, lucky the Bosch surrendered again! Before it was used on them :)
They got off lightly considering they murdered 60 Million.

If it were not for Germans letting Lenin into Russia we would not have had Stalin!
Again the Germans are responsible for millions of deaths :old:
Yep, poor Willy just did not think what the possible outcome for Russsa future would be like. And it really did not help Germany in WWI too.

The Norwegian attack on the heavy water plant was an act of terrorism. The plant was intended for peaceful purposes - Heavy water is required to make Bavarian Starkbier. The attack left millions of disappointed Germans on Starkbierfest.
It was an outrage!
