Word has it that WBs3 will include inclement weather such as rain and snow. This is about the only surprize Ive had from reading the after action reports from the WBCon and wonder if this type of effect is already on the list of things to add for AH. Would make sense to have it if it can be done properly.
My only question is: Will these effects actually come in contact with the canopy?

Hiya Yeager:
My understanding is that Rain, Snow, Clouds, and of course Wind will all be available when WB3 comes out.
Not sure what will be implemented in the MA, but I'm looking forward to setting up some variety in the HA arena. I doubt the MA folks would want anything to interfere with their furballs (http://bbs.hitechcreations.com/smf/Smileys/default/wink.gif)
Not sure how it will be implemented with on the Canopy.

I wonder how its gonna affect FR? My experience with sims from the past (offline) is ...the computer really takes a FR hit.

Yeager, it won't be a big problem if it "comes in contact with the canopy", unless at really low speed and/or the temp is just right to cause icing. I have flown in both rain and snow showers, biggest problem is lack of visibility from it just filling up the sky, not hitting the winshield. Besides, most of our birds have a great big fan in front of the canopy (http://bbs.hitechcreations.com/smf/Smileys/default/smile.gif), which does a good job of keeping the canopy clear while even taxxing on the ground. However if temp is factor when climbing through clouds, then the rain might end up icing up the window, but I'd be more worried about it on my wings than on my canopy (http://bbs.hitechcreations.com/smf/Smileys/default/smile.gif) Can you say dive for the warmer air (http://bbs.hitechcreations.com/smf/Smileys/default/smile.gif) Or perhaps climb, depends on the weather hehe.
So, will WBIII factor in the temps at different alt's when flying in rain or snow and make icing a factor? Or is it just more eye candy (http://bbs.hitechcreations.com/smf/Smileys/default/smile.gif) Will be interesting to see how their 'weather' is modeled. Time will tell.......
